Over the last few years it has become increasingly popular for younger job applicants to add their photo to a CV. The practice seems to have originated in Eastern Europe and has now made its way the the UK.
Stop it NOW!
Whilst some people might argue that it helps the employer make an informed decision, our own research is that it NEGATIVELY affects a job hunter’s prospects.
Imagine that you look like George Clooney or Brad Pitt? You might intimidate your colleagues!
Or you are as unfortunate on the eye as our very own Graham Martin? You might get ignored because you are put people off as your just plain UGLY
Suppose you look like Emma Watson? Very nice looking lady BUT some managers might feel that you will create a real stir in the office.
Or maybe you are a Susan Boyle lookalike…
You get my drift.

Let your CV and your credentials speak for themselves. Of course future employers WILL check you out on FaceBook etc but at least let them make an initial decision based upon your background and experience NOT on your photoImage may be NSFW.
